Questions
Is Career-Chip free?
Yes. The career record, job pipeline, tasks and follow-ups, interview calendar and offer comparison are free. AI features such as tailored resumes, keyword checks, cover letters and interview prep are part of the paid plan, which you can request inside the app.
Does Career-Chip make up experience on my resume?
Your resume is built from the achievements you record yourself. When AI writes a resume, it leaves out roles, skills and figures that are not in your record. Chat suggestions and resume tips wait until you accept them. AI-written bullets and generated resumes are saved straight away, so review them and edit or remove anything that is not right.
How do I compare two job offers?
Add each offer with its base pay, annual bonus, equity and benefits. Career-Chip totals the yearly value of each so you can compare them side by side. Sign-on and other one-time pay are kept separate in your current and target packages.
Can I connect Claude to Career-Chip?
Yes, by invitation for now. Sign up free, then request access in Settings. Once you are added, Claude can log jobs, move applications between stages and help you prepare for interviews using your Career-Chip data.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. You can archive and restore items, and export your data from Settings as a JSON file. The export includes your resumes, jobs, applications, contacts, calendar and offers. Your achievement record and its categories are not in it yet; their bullets come along inside your resumes.
